What if I want to go to another place of interest which is not located in the Moore Creek service area?

The service is designed to pick up and drop off anywhere in the designated Moore Creek area and the drop off/pick up points in the Tamworth area. Your origin or destination must start or finish within the Moore Creek designated area.

Tamworth drop off/pick up points include TAFE, Atrium Bus Stop Kable Ave, Tamworth Railway Station, Tamworth Hospital and Taminda. The Saturday service also includes the Sporting precinct at Riverside and The Longyard. This allows easy connections with other public transport services, key health and tertiary education campuses, and into the Taminda industrial area.

Can I make multiple travel bookings?

Yes. You can book multiple trips at once so that you can plan a few weeks in advance.

Can children travel on Moore Creek On Demand?

Children ten years or under must be accompanied by a person sixteen years or over.
Children between ten and sixteen years can travel unaccompanied, but we advise they alert the driver and have a contact number for a guardian/parent. The bookings must be made by a person over sixteen.

Are concessions available for the service?

The Moore Creek service has concession fares of $2.20 per trip.

What type of vehicles are used?

The Moore Creek fleet includes a large bus for the early morning, afternoon and Saturday services. All our vehicles are air conditioned for your comfort. Smaller mini buses are used for the On Demand service. All vehicles are regularly maintained to the highest standards to ensure they comply with all safety laws for public transport vehicles.

Will I always be able to get a trip when I want it?

We recommend you book at least half an hour before your expected travel time for the weekday On Demand service and the afternoon Workers Bus .
The early morning Workers Bus and Saturday service must be booked the day before.

How far will I need to walk to the vehicle?

The maximum distance you will need to walk will vary depending on the amount of demand from other passengers. You may be asked to walk 100 – 200 metres, most times you may only need to walk out your front door.

How do I pay?

Payments can be made by credit or debit card, via the webpage or the phone. Cash payments can also be made directly to the driver.

Transportme smartcard is also available by phoning Macphersons Coaches.
The card will be sent to you, or you can collect it from the driver. The smartcard is like the OPAL card, used by tapping on when boarding the bus. The Transportme smartcard can be topped up with your smart phone via the Transportme app.
